After 2 weeks of being back in Australia, things have slowly started to pick up pace again - with an array of possibilities before me, I'm starting to get just a wee bit excited. Let me explain...
Tomorrow I'm driving 800km to Melbourne, to prepare for the Tour of Murray River ( a 900km, 8 day Stage Race) But before this Tour takes place, I'll be having a meeting with the Commitee of a prospective team for 2010 on the Friday. Saturday will be spent spinning my legs and geting used to riding again after a "less than perfect" lead up. On Sunday the Tour commences, and it is here where the real fun starts! Thanks to the Praties Squad, I've been offered a spot on their line-up solely for this Tour. An opportunity like this doesn't come aroud too often, so I'll be sure to make the most of it. Having only ever ridden one tour before (Giro Del Capo 2009) I'm still a 'Greenhorn" in this respect... In other general news, it looks like I'll be moving down to Melbourne at years end. Not only for cyclings sake, but also for my parallel career choice of Communications & Media (Journalism) - and who knows; maybe in 2yrs time, I'll be involved in the Fitness Industry, or spending some time racing in the USA, Europe, New Zealand... now that's why I'm excited. I'll do my best to update from time to time throughout the Tour depending on Internet availability. If not, I'll still give a day to day recount once I'm back home, 2 weeks from today. |
