Tour of Tasmania 09

After a very satisfactory 'Goulburn to Citi' Classic last weekend, my confidence was up again and I felt I was finding some legs at long last. I followed the race up with an excellent week of training, consisting of more climbing and power work. Now let's just hope it'll be enough for the Tour of Tasmania.

I'm flying down for the 6 Day tour tomorrow, and will be spending the night in Launceston before being picked up by the Praties team. They've once again graced me with a Guest spot on their team, so I'll be doing all I can to pay the favour back... With the tour starting in Devenport, and finishing in Westbury, I'll have a total of 654.9km, 77 Sprints and 44 Hillclimbs to show my appreciation.

My only concern for the Tour is my right knee, which has been giving me problems since the middle of the week, after a long day of climbing. But the problem isn't bad enough to warrant me cancelling my Tour. I'll definitely keep my eye on it though! Well seeing as this is one of the final major races of 2009, I've started to look back on the year gone and each time I do, I smile from ear to ear. Let's hope Tour of Tassie can leave the same feeling of satisfaction...
