TFM Avanti Team

After all the ups and downs in the past 3 months, my need to find a team has been met. But in this instance, I'd be more inclined to call it a family, and my need has now turned into a pleasure.

I was recently offered a spot with Melbourne based elite team, TFM AVANTI under the management of Danny Cohen. I had no doubts after having met Danny, that this opportunity was one worth taking up. So I nabbed it! And from the little I've seen, this team has what I'm looking for - an understanding of ones situation in life, especially with regards to jobs and life outside of cycling.

I did my first ride with some of the guys today, in the picturesque Dandenong Ranges - an endless offering of climbs to choose from! We started off with some really short and steep climbs through a residential area, before finally hitting the open, meandering climbs that the Dandenongs are famous for. Ranging from 2km up to 6km, there was no shortage of variety. We did about 5 decent climbs from what I can recall, before making tracks for home, and the customary coffee stop. 130km later, and I needed more than a coffee!

Tomorrow, I'm heading out to King Lake for an easy 2hr recovery ride. Which is something I could really use. My abs, pecs, thighs, calves, neck, shoulders, hips, arms... are still sore from Wednesdays core stability session, courtesy of Dare to Live personal training. www.daretolive.com.au will leave you feeling the same as me. Well, more updates on the way, and eventually an updated image banner on the site, and a picture gallery with the new kit.

I hope you all have a good easter!!
